Itama yachts for a Portofino day outdoors.
Itama belongs in a Portofino shortlist when the sea passage and open cockpit are central to the day. The Forty provides a specific reference for that preference, with a low profile and a practical choice of interior versions.

A Ligurian outing with a simple centre
For a day near Portofino, choose the principal pleasure before the route: sailing along the coast under power, lunch together or time at a suitable swimming stop. A compact open yacht can give that occasion a clear shape when the itinerary leaves enough time aboard.

The open-yacht decision
Begin with the way the party wants to travel. An open cockpit makes the view and movement of the sea part of the shared experience, while a larger enclosed yacht gives guests another sort of retreat. Neither preference is settled by the builder name; the model's seats, cover and interior arrangement make the comparison meaningful.
More practical details
The Forty guide develops this through the original model's cockpit and cabin options. It also keeps the historic Forty separate from subsequent Itama models, so a request does not drift into a different yacht simply because the names or lengths appear similar.
